Royal Mountain sage is a 3-6 feet tall shrub that only grows in a relatively limited natural range in Southern California. Harvested from sustainable farms that support sustainable farms in California, these sticks provide dense smoke that cleanses your space of any unwanted energies. Handcrafted one by one from organic Royal Mountain sage and wrapped with natural strings.

Palo Santo is a sacred and mystical tree that grows near the coasts of South America and is related to frankincense and myrrh. In Spanish, the name translates to "Sacred Wood - Tree Of Life".

Palo Santo is used by saints in South America to purify bacteria from the air, especially to remove bad energy and spirits that dwell within spaces. It is also commonly used to relieve colds, flu symptoms, stress, asthma, headache, anxiety, depression, inflammation, emotional pain and more.

Our Royal Mountain sage is ethically harvested 100% from farms in California and Mexico. We work directly with small families in North and Center America. They harvest ethically and is grown continuously for 100 years.

Our Palo Santo is 100% ethically harvested from organic farms from Peru and Ecuador. We work directly with small families in South America. They harvest ethically from naturally deciduous trees and branches, these families with whom we work with are keepers of this preserved lands for generations, and they have cared for these trees in a sacred way for more than 100 years.

Each smudge stick is sustainably made with Californian and Mexican grown Mountain Sage and South American Palo Santo wood powder. The Palo Santo is sustainably harvested from naturally fallen trees and branches that lie dead for 4-10 years before being  harvested. Since each piece is uniquely handcrafted, size and color may vary.

We aim to provide a sustainable harvest to support and preserve the local lands, and the culture that surrounds the sacred and ceremonial harvest of these herbs. Supporting proper harvest supports the preservation of indigenous lands.

How to use

These bundles average approximately 10 cm long and 3.5 cm in diameter and can be used many times.

Use a candle, matchstick, or lighter to light Royal Mountain sage & Palo Santo powder. Hold it at about a 45-degree angle with the tip pointing down toward the flame. Let it burn for 30 seconds to a minute, then blow on the flame. Move around your workplace, home, car, bathroom, or anywhere you want to purify energy. The smoke and the rich aroma will bring calm and clarity for a moment along with the good vibes you will feel. When done, place sage in a metal, glass, or fireproof clay bowl.
